Dental Implant Therapy Options

Some people require a single dental implant, a dental implant bridge (to replace multiple teeth), or complete upper and lower arches (an All-on-4 implant). Feel confident knowing you are in excellent hands with Dr. Robert Harrell and the caring team at HDIC. We take the time to review your oral health and dental X-rays and discuss treatment options together. You will know exactly what to expect and how to handle pre- and post-operative care during your consultation. Book your appointment with our dedicated team today to discover if dental implant therapy can help you secure your smile. Discover more about complete arch replacement with the All-on-4 procedure below:

For patients who have lost all their teeth due to decay or gum disease of the upper and/or lower arch, an option is available to provide a very stable and comfortable prosthesis using a minimal number of implants. One example is the “All-On-4” technique that was named by implant manufacturer Nobel Biocare. This technique gets its name from the idea that four implants can be used to replace all teeth in a single arch (upper or lower). The implants are strategically placed in areas of good strong bone, and a thin denture prosthesis is screwed into place. The All-On-4 technique provides teeth replacement that is stable (not removable) and feels like natural teeth compared to the older method of traditional (removable) complete dentures. Dental Implants

While the cost of dental implant therapy may initially seem steep for some clients, it is important to note that this is typically a one-time dental restoration. Unlike dentures and bridges that will eventually need to be redone (so think of the expense times two when comparing), dental implants are a secure and lasting permanent solution. We would love to discuss your options in person. Join us for a free consultation to find out which variety of implant is best to restore your smile. We have financing plans to share with you as well. Read about some common dental insurance questions below:

Private health insurance rarely covers all dental implant costs as replacement teeth fall outside the scope of most policies. However, many plans could pay for several early steps. Have the practice manager submit a preauthorization request including the ICD 9 or 10 reason codes for each treatment stage.

The dental implant process has multiple stages. It is not a single treatment. Some of the earlier services are more likely to be medically necessary that later-stage steps.

  1. CAT scans to measure bone density and structural anomalies: maybe
  2. Tooth extractions due to an accident or disease-related condition: see oral surgery
  3. Bone grafting after an accident or related to a bodily disease: yes
  4. Surgical placement of the implant body into the jaw: often yes
  5. Surgical insertion of the abutment: rarely
  6. Implant-supported crowns, bridges, dentures: rarely
